Ah October.
So I'm gonna try this whole photoblog thing again. Gonna try for daily. I haven't taken many exciting photos recently, so it's time to pillage the archives that I never exploited in the first place. Except eventually I'm gonna smack a creative commons sticker on here. Til then, don't steal my photos. Ih ate having to put a cheesy watermark on all my photos. Grr.
So this is what October is ~supposed~ to look like. This is a kimokusei tree, and I have no idea what that translates to in English. All I know is that it's got these tiny orange (or white or yellow) blossoms, and they have this great fragrance that just dominates the entire town. It's sweet without making you retch, and I'm really sad that the typhoons this year have blown most of the blossoms off the trees.
These are cosmos blossoms. There's supposed to be fields and fields of them around this time, but again, due to the typhoon, there are a few patches here and there, but nothing like last year. More sadness.
This is my bike, against a gorgeous sunset. Now that I actually know how to ride a bike (and feel confident enough to brave trenches and giant semi trucks), I don't stop to take as many pictures. I used to walk everywhere, and there were always these great photo opportunities. I've also become reallllllllly lazy. Please note that the bike has NO gears, and it is currently 2 years old. And that the seat is all the way down, and I can barely touch the ground. Which proves that even in this country, I'm still a midget. ::sigh::
